Illustrative Project: Latin America

Description
Renewable energy development and agricultural renewal on 25,000 acres in Latin America

Structure
Landowner partnership and acquisition of strategic adjacent parcels

Revenue Drivers
Renewable Energy – wind
Agriculture – diversified food crops

Additional Revenues
Tourism – eco-lodge and recreational facilities
Conservation – forestry and habitat protection

Bio-Logical Capital will develop a 200MW wind energy facility for energy sales into the electric grid on 25,000 acres in a Latin American country. Agricultural management of the property will diversify from a single fruit for export to a variety of food crops for both local and export markets.

Eventually, existing lodging facilities will be improved to accommodate local ocean and rainforest tourism. The property will be an assembly of three citrus farm parcels, each of which suffered from crop blight brought on by industrial practices and can be acquired at depressed prices.

The farms are within a biological corridor and Bio-Logical Capital will manage the properties for improved productivity and wildlife habitat. Together, these businesses will generate both near and long-term returns for our investors.

To implement this project, Bio-Logical is partnering with an experienced wind energy developer as well as a landowner of one of the farms. We will leverage government subsidies to initiate the first phase of the project, and are working under favorable new legislation for phases 2 and 3.
