Description
Transition 80,000 acres of plantation forestry to sustainable harvest and town development
Structure
JV partnership with forestland owner
Revenue Drivers
Real estate – mixed-use new town development
Additional Revenues
Forestry – sustainable timber management
Utilities – renewable energy and water
Bio-Logical Capital will develop a compact, walkable, and place-appropriate rural town that provides for healthy, efficient, and sustainable living in the southeastern U.S. The community includes retail, office, residential, and civic real estate. Decentralized wastewater and renewable energy utilities will provide services to the community. Vast tracts of forest and wetlands will be protected or managed responsibly for timber.
By designing rural development in the context of existing growth patterns and natural resources, our development will enhance both local communities and wildlife habitat.
In partnership with a traditional timber company, Bio-Logical Capital will help the company and our investors realize non-timber value on suburban forestland. To execute this large-scale project, we are engaging with local officials, utility partners, and ecology experts.
Bio-Logical Capital will coordinate all planning, development, and operations, while the timber partner transitions its management practices from industrial forestry. Our investors can expect strong mid-term returns from the community development and steady long-term benefits as the landscape continues to increase in value.
