Sarah Wilson

Research, Projects and Development Coordinator

Sarah supports several projects within Bio-Logical Capital primarily through research, project management, and grant writing. Her diverse skillset is valuable in gathering information and building informed solutions that value people and the environment.

Sarah has a deep interest in our human connection to the land— whether that is through food procurement, how places influence us, or how culture can modify landscapes. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of British Columbia and an M.A. in Archaeology from the Memorial University of Newfoundland. Her graduate research was two-fold through considering both the relationship between people and their surroundings and analyzing the effectiveness of collecting photogrammetric data for modeling archaeological features.

Prior to joining the team, Sarah managed a training program centered around safety and innovation for local transportation departments at the University of Colorado Boulder. Having worn many hats, Sarah also worked for the State of Alaska supporting the State’s geographic names board and preparing listings for the protection of cultural sites. Sarah was born and raised in Alaska and believes that Alaska-grown carrots are the best carrots. In her spare time, Sarah is exploring nature through trail running, cross-country skiing, and rock climbing, or confronting the fast-fashion industry by sewing and knitting her own clothes.
