Welcoming A New Year

Our team at a screen printing workshop facilitated by local Denver artist Lucy Holtsnider

Dear Community,

As we reflect on 2023, we would like to share a few words of gratitude for you all, our community.

We are grateful to our team and our colleagues, for your hard work, for your love of learning, for your deep care, for your curiosity and for your passion.

We are grateful to our project partners, for your collaboration, for the lessons that we are learning together and for the impact that we are creating.

We are grateful to our coaches and our mentors, for your patience and your guidance. For the many ways that you work to educate and support us in our work, through updating our handbooks, to changing our management strategy, to expanding our JEDI lens.

We are grateful to those who came before us, to our ancestors and to those who have worked to shape healthy food systems for many, many ancestral generations

We are grateful to the land and the animals that are such an important part of the ecosystems and communities where we work.

And, finally, we are grateful to our families and friends. Thank you for your support and friendship, all year long.

We’re wishing you a wonderful new year. May you spend time with loved ones, be in community, rest and rejuvenate, and care for yourselves and each other.

Below is a round-up of some of our favorite writing this year that encapsulates the work we’ve done and work we hope to continue to do.

With gratitude,
Meriwether & Morgan
